Long Live

"Wow, this is incredible." Henley murmured as she sat on a white carousel horse on the meery-go-round that would take them to the Eye.

"Mhm," Daniel murmured, standing beside the horse, holding onto a pole for support. The merry-go-round didn't seem to be gonig very fast but, judging from the way the trees and the grounds of the park were a blur, Daniel knew that wasn't the case at all.

The whimsicality of this whole thing was certainly not lost on them. And why would it be? This was what they had been waiting a year for.

Suddenly, the merry-go-round came to a halt. "We're here." Dylan-the fact that he, the FBI agent who had been trailing them for weeks, was their benefactor was still baffling to Daniel-spoke up.

Daniel held open his arms for Henley as she started to slide off the horse. "Need a hand getting down, H?" He asked.

Reaching down, she slid her arms around his neck. "How kind of you, Danny." Picking her up bridal style, he lifted her off the horse and set her down on the ground. Instasntly, their figners laced together. Somewhat shyly, in a way that was wildly out of character for him, he glanced at her. Much to his surprise, she was already looking at him, and, was it a trick of the light, or was she actually blushing?

"Yo, lovebirds, come on!" Merritt's sardonic yet playful tone snapped thme out of their trance.

Still hand in hand, they walked to where Merritt, Jack and Dylan stood. "On the count of three?" Danny asked and the others nodded. "Okay, one,"

"Two," Henley piped up, and the four of them linked hands.

"Three," Merritt and Jack said together, and the four of them stepped off. They were a part of the Eye now, who knew what lay in store for them?
