This is my first ever chapter that I've ever published. I'm only doing this for my own fun so updates will be whenever I want and I might even abandoned this story, though I'll try not too. I'm sorry if there are any grammer mistakes, I don't have a beta reader and no one else has read this yet. This is a Playable character (Charmander) x Partner (Shinx) story for Pokemon Mystery Dungeons: Explorers of Sky. The plot will be the same as that one but there will extra scenes. I'll try to make chapters around 1k-4k. THERE WILL BE NO NSFW. Well, I hope you enjoy!
"I can do it today! I won't back down! It's time for me to finally become an apprentice!" Tux told himself while staring at the Wigglytuff shaped guild. Tux huffed and jumped on the rail.
"Pokemon detected! Pokemon detected!" One voice yelled out, startling Tux. He started to shufle his paws.
"Who's footprint! Who's footprint" Said another voice. Tux started to panic.
"The footprint is Shinx! The footprint is Shinx!" Yelled the first voice. Tux jumped back and sighed in disappointment. Tux looked around the guild in sadness. Tux took out his Relic Fragment and stared at it in despair.
"I couldn't do it today... Oh why couldn't I be brave?" Tux sighed again, took back his treasure and trudged down to the beach. Tux looked at the beautiful sunset in awe. He looked at the Krabby's who were blowing bubbles.
"Oh my… it's so beautiful…" Tux smiled at the sight, "I always come here when I'm sad. It's refreshing and it gives a good ending to a bad day." He told himself. Tux started to look around, to take a good look of the Krabby's and waves of the water crashing onto the beach. When he looked to the left of him, he gasped in shock. Tux ran to the figure he spotted and shaked them. The figure didn't stir.
"Oh my Arceus, I wonder what happened to them.. I hope they're okay." Tux stayed with the Charmander for a few minutes. Hoping they would wake up. The figure stirred and Tux gasped happily and looked at the Charmander, just in time to see their eyes flutter open.
"W-where am I?" Asked the Charmander in a hoarse voice. The Charmander, eyes fully open, looks at the Shinx in confusion. The Charmander tried to stand up but groaned in pain. Tux helped the stranger get up. The Charmander nodded in thanks as it got up the ground. The Shinx, looked at her in wonder and answered her question.
"You're currently on the beach close to Beach Cave! I'm Tux by the way. What's your name?" Asked the Charmander smiled at the pokemons enthusiasm.
"I think my name is Kat... Where is Beach Cave? Why am I here? I've never heard of that place. What happened to me? I don't remember anything.. I feel small too.." Kat asked the Pokémon, hoping for answers. Tux looked at her. Wondering what she meant by small.
"Well of course you're small. You're a Charmander!" Tux told her matter of factly. Kat's eyes widened. A Charmander?
"WHAT?!" She exclaimed. She looked at the water and back at Tux who was tilting his head in confusion. She looked back at the water. She started thinking. Wondering what she should do. She looked back at Tux.
"Tux. I'm going to be honest here… I'm not actually a Charmander.. I'm a human." Kat told Tux. Tux looked at her in visible confusion.
"B-but you're clearly a Charmander!" Tux told her, still in confusion. Kat looked at him in frustration.
"I know that Tux. I don't remember how it happened. I don't remember anything but I know I was human before this." Kat needs him to understand. Tux looked at her and nodded.
"I believe you Kat!" Kat looked at him in shock, "This world is full of mysteries, legends and lores. I love all 3 of those things, you know? I also love history. But Kat, you are one of those mysteries I got to solve! A human turning into a Pokemon? Unheard of! Humans aren't even real." Tux took out his Relic Fragment. Tux and Kat stared at the rock. Tux looked back at Kat.
"I admit.. It looks like junk, but.. Take a closer look." Tux told Kat. Kat looked closer at the rock, seeing a strange pattern on it. "It has a weird pattern on it right? I want to figure out what it means. It's one of the reasons I want to join an exploration team. This is my precious treasure.." Tux sighed dejectedly. Kat smiled at Tux when he kind of went off topic but frowned when he sighed. Tux took back his Relic Fragment.
In the distance, two Pokemon were listening to the Shinx explanation of the rock.
"Heh-heh-heh. A treasure? It could be worth a lot of money." Laughed one of them. The other pokemon looked at the treasure again and smiled.
"Woah-hoh-hoh maybe we should go steal it?" Exclaimed the other Pokemon. The first Pokemon nodded and told him the plan. They both smiled.
They ran quickly to see the Shinx and bumped right into Tux. The Relic Fragment fell down and the Pokemon, who can now be identified as a Zubat and Koffing, took it.
"Hey! That's my treasure! Give it back please!" Cried out Tux in badly concealed fright. The Koffing smirked and mocked the Shinx.
"You'll have to take it back from us." Tux didn't move, he was shaking and tears were coming out of his eyes. Kat wanted to do something, but to be honest, she was frightened too. "You won't take it back because you're a coward, woah-ho-ho!" Both Koffing and Zubat laughed and left to enter Beach Cave.
Tux fell down onto his front knees and started tearing up. Kat comforted the Shinx and smiled sadly.
"Oh what am I gonna do, Kat? Like they said, I'm too much of a coward to go get it back. I can't do it alone.. I'm not brave enough to do anything." The Shinx told Kat in sadness. Kat looked at the Shinx and smiled in uncertainness.
"I can help you get it back. I mean, I can try and help you get it back.. If you want me too?" She told him nervously. Tux jumped up and smiled brightly. He hugged Kat. Kat took a step back in shock but returned the awkward hug.
"Oh thank you so much Kat! We'll be able to get it back together! I just know it! I know I'll brave with you beside me!" Tux exclaimed in joy. He stepped back from the hug, looked at Kat's flushed face and entered Beach Cave. Kat slowly following him from behind. Still a bit shocked about all that happened.
