Sorry for the vary long hiatus, I've been dealing with a lot of things and haven't even really haven't had any motivation for writing fan fictions, but Servine and DarkWriter00 have rekindled that flame and I thank them both dearly. Anyway on to the story!
The sweet aroma of the late spring wilderness enveloped the only two men within the forest searching for a spot to rest after many arduous battles with the monsters of damnation. The blood and sweat caked Richter Belmont and The Tragic Prince Alucard, currently in wolf form beside his love, entered a small flowered gap within the fortress of Blackwood, Hornbeam, Birch, and Pines.
"Shall we rest before we continue back to town? I need to at the very least." Richter inquired looking at Alucard who gave him a nod before strolling into the center of the flower patch and laying down; Richter fallowed suit laying on his back with his arms behind his head. As the wolf/dhampir re-positioned himself to lay his head on the vampire hunter's abdomen Richter let out a hum of amusement with a small smile on his face.
"What are you thinking of?"
"Just about how you had sniffed the flowers by the front door the first time you came to the house and sneezed so loud you woke the dogs in the back yard." Richter chuckled but was abruptly cut short when Alucard raised his head and let it drop on the human's stomach with a muffled and winding 'thump'. The vampire hunter let out a few wheezed chuckles before the sounds of the nocturnal forest overtook them once again.
"Hmm, where is it…?" The brunette muttered softly to himself as his eyes scanned the stars above. Alucard's ear twitched.
"Where is what?"
"The constellation Draco - found it!" He proclaimed happily shooting his right arm up to point it out which in turn caused Alucard rolled onto his side before raising his head briefly to look.
"That's not Draco. That's Ursa Major, Corona Borealis, and part of Hercules. Draco is closer to Ursa Minor and Cepheus." The blank tone Alucard used earned him a look from his lover.
"I should have expected such knowledge from someone who has existed for so many a year," Richter smiled at him before laying his head back onto his arms "What others are you hiding?"
After a short silence Alucard spoke; "My mother often took me out to these forests to show me the creatures of both day and night. She also taught me of the healing properties of different plants; flowers too."
"Flowers? I don't see how they could be more than a decoration or a gift." Richter stated in a slight disbelief.
"We passed a patch of light purple flowers; Willowherb. It is often used to aid the healing of a small few internal physical illnesses." Alucard turned back onto his middle and stood before giving his body a shake. "We best continue home, lest we be out in the forest till morn." Agreeing with Alucard, Richter moved to get up; stretching his now less sore muscles after doing so while commenting about needing a bath. Both exited the now silenced clearing with an aura of serenity around them both.
