Distrust
No one can ever know
No one, ever
That's the way it has to be
Why don't you ever trust us?
Trust the people you know?
The people who are close to you?
Trust me; you wouldn't want to be close to me
You wouldn't want to if you actually know
Knew the secrets I hid from you
I can't trust you
Not completely
Trust is a two-way street
I trust you
Just not with my secrets
It's for your own safety
Screw our safety
We risk our lives every day
Every day to save innocents
It's part of that
That's why I won't – can't – tell you
Tell any of you
How much worse can it get?
We're superheroes
We're technically invincible
You may be invincible, same with the rest of the team
But I'm not, never will be
My secrets are mine to keep, mine to bear, to deal with
They'll eat you alive
These secrets you're hiding from us
Just tell us
I don't care if they eat me alive!
My secrets. My cross to bear
Not for you to deal with
We can help you if you let us
But you're too stubborn, aren't you?
Can't accept help from anyone, huh?
It's not my fault that I have these secrets
Ever thought that this was completely out of my control?

It's your decision on what to do
Who to tell, what to do with these secrets

Someone like me
My father
He's a murderer
He's a killer, just like me
You're not a killer
He may be but that doesn't make you one
Your kin doesn't decide that for you
Not just him who has killed people
I've killed so many just with my bare hands
He's trained me for unspeakable things
But you're better than that
You know it
You are not the monster he meant for you to be
That's where you're wrong
I am exactly the monster he wanted me to be
His weapon, the perfect assassin, the perfect daughter
It's not your fault that he did that to you
Not something you could control
You have nothing to blame yourself for
But I do
Not once did I try to fight it
I wanted to do it, wanted to be like my father, knowing he was a murderer
Stop it
Stop blaming yourself
How could you have known as a child that it was wrong?
I never fought it
Never fought the training he was giving me
I was always so eager to learn
It's the way you were raised
But it's not completely who you are
You are who you want to be
There's no way that I can change what he's done to me
All this training doesn't just disappear
All the doubts I've learned to give people, they don't just disappear overnight
I know that
I will help you
