That part in Sword of Summer when Magnus is being given mouth to mouth by Otis and he says that the only previous kissing experience he had had was with a certain Jackie Molotov behind the bleachers in seventh grade during a school dance. As I reread the book, I felt that this Jackie Molotov deserved a story of her own.

Three new heroes are submitted into Valhalla. Everything seems all right, until one vanishes without a trace. It's now up to Magnus Chase and the Floor 19 group to find him, and stop an enraged goddess seeking revenge for Loki's incarceration.

James is the grandson of Loki, with plans to rule all nine worlds, destroying both good and evil during Ragnarok. But when Loki learns of this potential threat and kills him, he ends up in Valhalla. Full of hatred, he needs to learn how to get his army back, and think of a way to put an end to Loki once and for all. *Rated T for violence, profanity, death and suffering.*

A new demigod has arrived in the halls of Valhalla, one with a very unique heritage and unpleasant attitude, and he's on floor 19! Magnus knew something was not right. He knew it with absolute certainty, but he had yet to work the courage to ask Alex what it was. It was no use. If Alex didn't want him mingling in her business, he could respect that and leave her alone.
