This is a preview of things to come in The Guardian trilogy. These are/will be some of my favorite scenes of the series, and just to keep you interested, I will give them to you because I am a) nice and b) bored. The book number and speaker (if applicable) will be listed underneath. I saw a few other authors do this and thought it would be neat.

Beware angst-haters; this series will become very angsty, especially in the later books. (And right now, some of these scenes are so…heart-wrenching that it literally makes your throat tighten. At least with me it does, because these are some of the more depressing scenes.) So, once again, enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Tokyo Mew Mew, but I do own the Forn, the voice of the planet, and Kiana! And of course, the plot. Also, all, ideas and philosophies represented in this and the whole series are mine, but do not represent the morals of anyone else.

Oh, yeah, sorry to bug you yet again, but I have to warn you. There is a little minor swearing in this, like there might be from time to time in the fic. Anyways, I hope that won't stop you from reading this!

Mortified golden eyes met magenta ones as the Forn collapsed onto the concrete. The strange girl's eyebrows knit together as the corpse's empty eyes stared at her like a damning curse. With a gasp, she turned and fled into the trees, ignoring Ichigo's pathetic pleas to return.

No…No, no, no, no, no, NO! I…I didn't just do that…I…I couldn't have! A leaden weight settled into her chest, and it had nothing to do with the tangled tree bough over her perch. I…What was I thinking? I can't help them. Never again. They're the ones destroying the planet. They're my enemies. She brought her knees onto the branch hugging them tightly, like a child might search for solace in a doll. But…If that's true…Then why does my heart tell me…that I'm the one who's wrong?

Book 1???

"Kish! Wait! Please! KISH!" She raced after him, but somehow, it seemed to Ichigo that she was trying to run up the down escalator, and before she could finally reach up to grab his shoulder, he ripped away from her and was gone.

Book 2, Ichigo

A bitter laugh clawed its way free from her throat. "That's IT? That's all you have to say? That all humans are evil? How asinine!" She cackled madly to the empty air, eyes aglow with cold frustration, sorrow, and madness. "I thought that you should, know, Planet, of all the things to ever exist, that there is no such thing as pure evil."

Her voice quieted, now tinged with unhealed scars and inescapable sorrow. "Pure evil and perfect light…impossible things that humans use to classify the world into perfection. Just another way of ignoring the realities around them. Because, in truth, they're just too scared to try to see this tainted world as the monstrous thing it is."

Book 2, Kiana

Soft, silent sobs wracked his tiny frame. They were all gone. Pudding was gone, transformed into a horrendous monster by the very planet that had nurtured her. There had been nothing he could do then, except hold her hand in her final moments. Tart gazed longingly at the silver blade in his hands, crusted with his final memory of her. Her blood. The blade drew him deeper into its depths, away from the world, away from everything.

I can take all of that pain away. It hissed softly, but to tart, its voice was not unpleasant. Everything that pains you…I can help it go away. It seemed to whisper. And Tart found himself nodding slowly in agreement.

Book 3, Tart

Please review! I also want to know if you want me to continue with these tidbits, because, I must confess, they were quite fun to write and didn't take very long. I hope you enjoyed! And don't forget, REVIEW!
