Axel found Tink after the uprising, finding out later she was capable of creating simple survival mechanisms from basic materials. Despite her temperamental personality and downright distrust and paranoia towards other survivors, her and Axel develop a sibling like bond.

As Dmitri's camp in Seattle falls to Vanessa and the resistance, one of his beneficiaries arrives at a secluded bunker in the hopes of surviving the coming storm. She is surprised to find Dmitri there and, more shockingly, wounded, but takes the opportunity to learn of the new situation. The pair reminisces about better days, and plan those ahead. (Set after S2E1)
