Summary: Max is the last to find out why, when Tyson and Kai battle, everything is destroyed but their blades.
"Isn't it obvious?" Rei asked, not taking his eyes off the stadium.
"It is similar," Dizzi agreed, her electronically simulated voice transmitting from the Chief's ancient laptop. For a computer geek, he sure kept his equipment low scale. It didn't even look like it could access the internet; let alone whatever hi-tech software Kenny had installed.
"Similar to what?!" Max asked, almost ready to tear his hair out at the coded way the two seemed to be communicating in.
"To when Mariah and I battled, do you remember?" Rei began to explain, taking his eyes off of the match long enough to give Max a stare.
Kenny paused in his typing, before adjusting his glasses.
"I see." He said, examining the match, his mouth quirking up at the side.
"See what?! Gahhh!" Max gripped at his blonde hair, shaking his head.
Rei chuckled, tussling the locks.
"Just watch, Max. Watch the way the blades attack."
Max did so, inching as close as he dared to in order to get a better view.
The stadium was demolished already, the intricate designs of the Chinese temples left as nothing but indiscernible rubble.
In amidst the rubble were the two blades - one blue, one grey - battling.
Turning, scratching, destroying anything and everything in their path, and yet not actually hitting each other.
"Do you see it now, Max?" Max scurried back, nodding.
"The blades… They're not actually hitting each other. It's like-"
"Like Dranzer and Dragoon don't want to battle." Rei finished for him, grinning.
Max nodded. "Yeah! Which is exactly like you and Mariah, 'cos Gallux and Driger recognised each other and the l-lov-LOVE?!" Max's head whipped back around to the match.
Tyson and Kai were still going at it, grinning. Laughing, as they attacked each other.
Rei clapped Max on the back. "Yeah, exactly like us two, eh?"
Max groaned. Why was he always the last to know when team mates were dating?!
Okay, so i haven't watched Beyblade in over 5 years now... But I just I don't know, fancied writing some Kai/Tyson? So these are probably more than likely majorly out of character, but you can let it slide this time, right? ;)
