Sapphires (POV)

8:30 Am
I yawned, stretching, as I awoke from my night sleep.
" Sapphire, breakfast is ready!"
My mom yells down the stairway.
" Ok, I'm coming"
I say in a sweet voice as I pull my hair up in a ponytail and look down at my pj's.
I had a black tank top on with blue sweat pants and pink socks. I push myself off the bed and head straight for the door and open it.
Something was wrong...
There was no 6 year-old little girl being chased by a 45 year-old screaming man. For once in a long time I smile at all the peace. Maybe this wills a better day than any day in my life. As I head down stairs I think about what's for breakfast. When I'm at the landing I turn my head to the sound of voices. I peek around the corner to see my mom talking to our Neighbor, who is my best friend's mom. I spy around the corner to see them having coffee and there was donuts on the coffee table.
" I know, Sapphire use to never talk after her father died, but now she's talking like a hurricane."
My mother says, sipping her cup and taking a donut. Her long, brown hair in the way a little. I walk down the stairs and into the kitchen to hear more of their conversation.
