A Race

"Come on! Let's race!" Kushina was yelling at Minato, trying to convince him to run a race with her. "No way, I'm too tired," he said, flopping down on his back in the grass. "COME ON!" Kushina shouted. The more Minato refused, the angrier Kushina got. "No!" Minato yelled back.

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yeeesss!"

"Noooo!"

"YES!"

"NO!"
"YES!YESYESYESYESYES!YES INFINITY!" Kushina screamed at him, jumping up and down for effect.

"Ugh, fine! I'll race you," Minato grumbled, finally giving in to his screaming friend. He added, "Loser buys ramen!"

Because if there was anything Minato and Kushina LOVED, it was ramen.

"Okay!" Kushina said brightly, completely recovered from the preceding screaming match, "We race to that tree, over there." Minato nodded in agreement.

"Ready? Set? GO!"

The two 14-year-olds started running towards the designated finish "line"(It's really a tree, remember?) , but for some reason, Minato kind of letKushina take the lead and sort of letKushina win. Kushina dropped down into the grass, out of breath.

"Y-you…let me…win, Minato-chan," she gasped. Minato was bent over, hands on his knees. He looked like he was trying to pretend to be out of breath as well.

"I did not! You're just…a faster runner than me," he retorted. Kushina suddenly started to giggle. "What are you laughing at?" Minato asked, frowning a little. " You have to buy ramen, ha-ha!" Kushina replied in a singsong voice. Minato made a face and stuck his tongue out. He flopped down on the ground beside Kushina. "How 'bout I just give you money to get ramen, and I go home and go to bed?" he asked.

Kushina thought this over for a few minutes.

" How about we get ramen tomorrow? I'm tired too," she said, standing up.

"Sounds like a plan," Minato said. He stood up, too.

"Okay, see you tomorrow, and you better be there!" Kushina warned clenching her fists threateningly. " Okay, okay!" Minato grinned. He waved good bye and headed home.
