A/N: Bonjour! I am ladyoflalaland, and call myself The Lady. As a huge fan of both the musical and the book Les Mis, this is my first addition to the site and I am very excited. I came up with these couplets in about fifteen minutes, and decided to submit them as an icebreaking introduction to . I wrote one on every main character and some of my favorite minor characters as well. Not, of course, my best work: but I happen to find them cute. Enjol-er- enjoy!

Once a slave, now a baroness for life.

Cold, revolutionist, marbled Apollo,
Visionary, friend, and leader for tomorrow.

Gamine, thief, on her own
With Marius is when she's home.
Fantine
Pearls and gold, woman and lover,
Gave everything as a devoted mother.
Gavroche
A child of the street unloved by his mother,
Witty, gamin, and little brother.
Grantaire
Drunk, cynic, and totally lost
Gave his life for Enjolras.
Javert
Inspector, heartless, spy, devoted man
Caught 24601, then jumped into the Seine.
Jean Valjean
Unlikely hero, stole some bread,
Gave his life for God, and 24601 is dead.
Madame Thenardier
Loved her daughters, not her sons
Ended up dead before the book was done.
Marius
Chubby, lovesick, daydreaming boy
Titled baron and still acted coy.
Montparnasse
Very roguish, charming thief
Always dark, never turned a new leaf.
Thenardier
Innkeeper, thief, keeps changing his name
Robbing, killing, and stealing are his game.
