Daylight was dawning. I looked out over Escalera. Beautiful Escalera. It would soon all be mine.
'Reyes? Reyes!' One of my Rebels. What did they want?
"Yes?" he turned around.
'I heard a legend you might want to know about….' he described a map, leading under Escalera, how there was a mask hidden that could make me invincible, immortal even.
"Who has this map?"
'He does!' They brought a man who looked half crazed by the sun.
"Your name?" I said, threateningly.
'Basilio Aguirre Olmos de la Vargas.' Interesting.
"Where did you get the map?" I asked, venom in my voice.
'My great-great-great grandfather, sir!' he replied.
"Give me the map!" I slapped him across the face, I needed invulnerability as soon as possible!
'Okay!' he handed me the map. Then I shot him. No need for him to tell the world what Abraham Reyes did to him.
"It's near the entrance of the bullfighting rink! Dynamite, hurry!" I ran with half of my rebels to retrieve the mask. Then I saw it. Glowing green and sitting on the altar.
