So here's a one-shot I thought up. This is set I guess at the end of the game and John's still time-traveling everywhere because he stuck his hand in that thing. Enjoy.
John stared at the disk eagerly. This is it! I'm really going play Sburb! John reached for his computer, grinning happily.
"No! Stop!" John whirled around and froze. Floating in front of him was…himself! An older him in weird blue pajamas and yellow shoes.
"W-what? Who…who are you?" John stuttered.
"You can't play the game!" the older John yelled. "You can't! They-they're all…! D-dad will die! Rose's mom will die! Dave's bro will die! They…they're all dead! Everyone dies! We lost! We…" The John was crying and he looked at the disk in John's hand. He snatched it out of his grip.
"Hey! Give it back!" John protested. He watched in horror as the older him smashed the disk against the wall. "No!" John bent down and picked up the tiny pieces of the disk. He looked up at the older him but found that he was gone. He stared at the spot where he'd been and after awhile he stood up and stumbled over to his computer.
ectoBiologist [EB] began pestering gardenGnostics [GG]
EB: Jade! Jade!
GG: Hi John. Have you started playing the game yet?
EB: No! Jade!
GG: What's wrong?
EB: You're going to call me crazy, but an older me appeared in my room!
EB: He was wearing weird blue pajamas and yellow shoes and he started yelling that I can't play the game because my dad and Rose's mom and Dave's bro are all gonna die and that everyone dies and we lose and then he smashed my disk and now I can't play!
GG: …
EB: What happened?! Am I going crazy?! Jade?!
EB: Jade?
EB: Hello? You still there?
GG: This isn't right.
EB: I know! I've waited so long to play that game and he destroyed it!
EB: Wait, so you don't think I'm crazy?
GG: This isn't right!
EB: Jade?
GG: It wasn't supposed to go like this! The timeline's messed up! What the hell happened?! What did he do?! What was he thinking?! It wasn't supposed to go like this! He doomed the timeline! This wasn't supposed to happen!
EB: Jade?
GG: WHAT THE HELL?! WHY WOULD HE DO THIS?! HE MUST HAVE KNOWN IT WOULD DOOM THE TIMELINE! THIS WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN! WE'RE SUPPOSED TO PLAY THE GAME! WHAT THE HELL?! AAARRGH!
EB: Wow, I didn't realize you wanted to play the game so much.
gardenGnostics [GG] ceased pestering ectoBiologist [EB]
EB: Jade?
Jade spun around and glared at the boy floating in the air behind her. Tears were running down his face and he had his arms wrapped around himself.
"What did you do?!" she screeched.
"J-Jade." he choked. "E-everyone died. You-you got turned evil and then you died. We lost. We couldn't beat the demon!"
"You just doomed our timeline! This wasn't supposed to happen!" John flinched and cowered away. "What the hell?! It wasn't supposed to go like this!"
"I'm sorry!"
"It's too late for that! We're going to die now either way! This isn't what was meant to happen! It wasn't meant to go like this! This is all wrong!"
