This is a rather strange fic, but that's what happens when your on a sugar high. =)
Saffron Square new years eve party
"See ya later Brock!" Ash and Misty said as they headed deeper into the heart of Saffron city, while Brock went 'Trolling for Chicks'. Saffron had recently been freed from team rockets power when Ash kicked Giovani's butt so bad Giovani ran off and was never heard from again. After that, team rocket disbanded and life settled back to normal. After that Ash became league champion a short time later.
Now three years later, Brock was 20, and getting a little better at flirting, Misty was 17, and was hanging out with Ash more and more and teasing him less and less, as for Ash, he was 18, and STILL hadn't told Misty how he really felt about her, and last years resolution was to tell her.
"So what do you want to do?" Misty suddenly said breaking Ash's train of thought.
"Ehh....well its only 9:00, and there's a lot of things happening..." Ash trailed off, "lets go to the carnival rides."
"Hmmm... are the live bands playing yet?" Misty asked.
"No they don't start till 10:00." Ash said glancing at his watch.
"Then lets go to the carnival and then to the performance." Misty suggested.
"Sounds good to me!"
With that Misty took off and raced Ash to a roller coaster called THE KRAKEN.
"Wow" Ash said staring at it, " you sure about this Misty?"
"no." Misty said.
"Ok lets go." Ash said and they got in line.
About 15 minutes later...
Ash and Misty were now at the front of the line, and Misty was still trying to get Ash to talk her out of going on the ride.
"Ok NEXT!" the ride operator called.
"Bye Ash have fun." Misty said and tried to walk off, but Ash grabbed her and dragged her into the ride and closed the safety bar before she could get up.
"Hey! That's not fair your bigger than me!" Misty protested.
"Don't worry IM sure it wont be that scary." Ash said calmly.
But that was the biggest understatement Ash could have ever said in his life. The roller coaster climbed slowly up the first 'hill' , and rocketed down the other side curved in a 45-90 degree bank, did a few loops (you know the works) and was done.
"I think IM deaf in one ear." Ash commented as they were getting off the ride.
"Well your the one that wanted me to go on it!!!" Misty yelled at him.
"What?" Ash said smiling and Misty playfully punched him, "come on lets go to saffron square, that where the party is."
Ash and Misty danced to the music of several techno artists, complete with lasers from the windows of the massive silf co. office building, where a fireworks display would start in about two minutes. As the song ended Ash decided it was time to tell Misty how he felt about her.
"Misty?"
"yes?"
"can I tell you something?"
"sure." Misty said as if she had been expecting to hear something like this.
"Well Umm.... you see.....I...I-" Ash was suddenly cut off when the crowd they were in the middle of began to count down.

Misty didn't know what to say, he LOVED her. The word kept repeating in her mind.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!
Everyone around Ash and Misty was jumping around celebrating, Misty looked up into Ash's eyes and jumped into his arms.
"I love you too." She whispered.
At that moment they looked into each others eyes, neither one could resist the magnetic pull between them.
Their lips touched and they kissed fro the first, and certainly not the last time.
