This is a very short fic based on the line that Blaine says "Kurt told me what you did" when he confronted Dave. I thought "Oh, that would be interesting…"
And here you have it.
Kurt stood there in shock for…well he wasn't sure how long, exactly. Finally, he pulled himself out of the locker room. The bell had rang already and the halls were empty.
He went back and salvaged his phone. It was scuffed up, but surprisingly undamaged. Kurt slipped it into his pocket, grabbed his bag and quickly made his way out of the school.
Kurt didn't want to cry now. He didn't. So his first kiss - well, first real kiss with a guy - was now taken. There was no way that it would ever be special. It was just a kiss, in a locker room, with a guy he hated and that was probably so far in the closet, he was in Narnia.
No big deal, right?
He found himself at his house. It was a thirty minute walk from the school to his house, but it felt like no time at all. Kurt ran down to his room. Thankfully, his dad wasn't there. He was probably at his check up at the hospital.
There was no way that he would talk to his dad about this. Kurt knew that he would try to be understanding…but it would make him feel awkward. Kurt knew that.
But he wanted to talk to someone.
Kurt pulled out his phone. Blaine's text was still there…
Kurt pushed the "call" button.
Blaine answered after two rings. "Hello?" he said.
"Hi," Kurt said, his voice breaking. "Hey Blaine, it's Kurt…"
"Is something wrong, Kurt?" asked Blaine.
"Can you come over to my house? I have…I need to talk to someone," he said.
"Sure."
"I confronted him," said Kurt, fifteen minutes later. "Like you said. I…I was actually courageous, for once in my life…"
"That's good, Kurt," said Blaine, smiling.
"There's more…" Kurt took a deep breath and repeated the conversation, word for word. He had a good memory. "And then…and then he kissed me."
Blaine's eyebrows pretty much extended to halfway up his forehead at this point. "Kissed you?" he asked. Kurt nodded. "This is the same Neanderthal who has been pushing you into lockers and calling you slurs?"
"The same."
Blaine paused for a moment. "Well then…he must be in Narnia."
Kurt laughed through all the negative thoughts. "That's what I thought."
Blaine sighed. "It must be hard for this kid…I mean…he most obviously is gay, or bi, but he doesn't want to come out and be himself. There is something deep here…he takes his time to bully you…" Blaine thought for a moment. "He's taking his anger at himself for being gay out on you, the only out kid at your school."
Kurt hadn't thought about this. He just sorta hated Karofsky for taking his first kiss away. He didn't think about his motives, really. "I guess you're right…"
"What he really needs is a friend, Kurt," said Blaine. "You should talk to him."
"I couldn't," said Kurt immediately.
"I could come with you," said Blaine. "To school tomorrow. I don't have a first hour. I could come then and we can both talk with Dave. See if he needs to talk to us about coming out…"
Kurt thought about this for a minute. He remember when he was afraid to come out. There was no one to talk to him then. He remember how scared he had felt.
"Let's do it," Kurt said.
