Kurt's Teenage Dream

"What?" Kurt started but his mind couldn't form the correct comprehensible words, his lips just automatically continued mumbling all the thoughts that were running laps in his head.

"Transfer to Dalton," Blaine looked at his friend in concern.

"If you don't want to-"

Kurt felt a tear roll down his now pale cheeks. He was getting dizzy, he knew his obligation and he learned from Rachel's mistakes. But he couldn't help but think Blaine was different. He held back a sob, trying his ever so hardest to not look into the hypnotic hazel eyes that were compassionately burning with worry.

"I can't."

Kurt couldn't believe what he was thinking, what he was doing. Of course he wanted to go to Dalton. The free scholarship to study fashion and even getting the opportunity get to know Blaine which was so much better then what McKinley could offer, so much better. His eyes began to wander; he knew that he would falter under those amazing orbs.

"I'm sorry, Blaine-"

"Kurt, before you decide… I want you to know…" Their gaze locked for many sweet moments, Kurt was breathless, speechless, and overall succumbed to the pair of eyes that sent him straight to cloud nine. And before he could even notice- the two got closer to the point where they were face to face.

Kurt could feel Blaine's breath on his lips, causing his cheeks to be dusted with a light pink. The taller of the swallowed nervously, facing another direction. Kurt looked to him, watching him curiously.

Blain laughed, calmly looking to the sky, and back to Kurt.

"Never mind."

Kurt looked eagerly to his dear friend, anticipating what he was going to tell him. When Blaine smiled at him once again, Kurt could feel a slight pain that jolted to his heart.

A few seconds later he found himself tangled in a tight, caring embrace.

"Whatever the reason is- I understand. I'm sorry I would never want you to make a decision just because of me." Blaine cradled Kurt's head in his hand.

"Wait, you never said anything… what were you going to say… Blaine?"

Kurt shook his head, smiling into the taller teen's shoulder. He happily returned the embrace.

After few peaceful moments, Kurt raised his chin, wondered, and then just ignored the unanswered question all together.

"The reason I can't go to Dalton is just… that last year… our shining star lost her glow because some jerk from another school broke her heart… and I just don't want us to fall apart… our.. Friendship."

Blaine looked at Kurt apathetically, pulling away- but the younger teen wouldn't allow Blaine to do so.

"Kurt," Blaine whispered in his ear, "I would never, ever, use you."

The said teen looked up quickly, "No, I don't doubt you or anything like that-"

Blaine smiled, bringing the two together.

"I love you." He mumbled, and right after the very last syllable fell sweetly from his lips, he kissed Kurt passionately.

They parted, lightly out of breath and Blaine breathed on his lips,

"Kurt."

"Kurt…"

"Kurt?"

"Hey man, wake up- practice is going to start soon."

Kurt shot open his eyes, and to his dismay, there stood Rachel, Finn, and Mercedes- surrounding him.

"Oh…" Before he could even get up from the row of chairs he was apparently napping on, there stood in the doorway, Karofsky, clearly glaring at him.

Kurt stared at him in horror, he hastily attempted to shoot a glare- but fell from his bed of chairs.

'Please let this be a nightmare.'

Seeing as the football player was unnoticed, Kurt pointed from the ground and with the utmost disgust he could muster- he exclaimed harshly,

"You!"

Despite the larger teen's stature he quickly moved from out of the door way and back to stalking the halls as Kurt shook his head violently.

Tears began streaming from his eyes, he was still surrounded by his fellow glee members, he knew he wasn't alone- but he was still so empty.

He began to sob uncontrollably.

'It was just a dream.'
