"Did you know," Kagome teased Sota, "that different colored cows make different kinds of milk?"
A 5-year-old Sota stared at his sister in disbelief.
"Really?"
"Can you guess what color cow makes chocolate milk?" Kagome asked.
"Brown!" Sota offered triumphantly.
"You're right! What about white cows?"
"White milk?"
"Right!"
Sota's face scrunched up in deep thought. "What about brown and white cows, Kagome?"
"They make white and chocolate milk, Sota. And strawberry milk comes from white cows that have only been fed strawberries."
Kagome leaned close to her little brother and spoke so only he could hear. "And did you know that marshmallows are actually dried up snowman poop?" Sota was amazed at how smart his sister was and told her so.
"Wow, Kagome, you're smart!"
"Sota!" Kagome's mother called. "Time to leave for school!"
"Bye, Kagome! I can't wait to tell my class what you taught me!"
Kagome giggled to herself.
