The pair were Hell on wheels. Up until they could walk they were peaceful, calm babies. Once they were on two feet without anyone's help, it never stopped. They ran through the house squealing, they banged into baskets, toppling them over, they tore through the garden trampling the vegetables, they barreled into the back of their mother, almost tripping her if it weren't for her grace as a fighter, and they were into their father's ofuda, slapping them onto anything they could catch. They refused to wear shoes thanks to their Uncle Inu and their Uncle Shippo didn't help for all the tricks he taught them. Whoever tried to bathe them would end up just as wet as the twins, and they were constantly filthy.
But at night, once supper was eaten and the sun went down, the girls would get tired from a day of vigorous playing and the comfort of full bellies. They would crawl up into their parent's laps, give hugs and sugars, and ask for bedtime stories. Once asleep they were carried to their futon, covered up against the chill of the night, where they would transform into the beautiful, sleeping angels their parents adored. Miroku and Sango wouldn't have had their girls be any other way, although having them asleep was the way they sometimes liked them best.
