Full Summary: Edward Cullen is a musician who never had time for love until he meets quiet and beautiful Bella Masen. He falls hard for her but what if he starts to realize Bella isn't being fully honest with him? Bella has never felt so strongly for a target and things become too real for her. Now she must do everything in her power to protect him, or watch as he becomes closer to the brink of death.
Prologue
The officer across from me stared at me with disgust in her pale blue eyes. We were in a small interrogation room with one fluorescent light bulb that kept flickering.
"What was Edward Cullen to you Miss Swan?" She asks looking down at her clipboard.
"He was everything." I tell her my voice no louder than a whisper.
She looks back up her eyes hard and her red lips puckered in confusion. I knew what her next question would be and my stomach churned with sickness. The room seemed to darken and I watched as she stood and towered over me.
"Then why did you kill him?" she shouts.
I knew this routine she was trying to force the truth out of me, too bad she didn't have to, I was done lying.
"Huh Miss Swan? What did Edward Cullen do to deserve death?" She shouts again and I feel spit splatter on my face.
The room spins and I gasp feeling vile rise in my throat, before I wheeze out my answer.
"He was the job."
