100 word drabble- exactly minus the a/n. At the feet of our heroes, we try hard to learn.A test of our resilience. But the conclusion is not what we expect, nor is it what we wanted, but hell, school wasn't any fun, so why should we enjoy this, either?

The Lesson Is Lost

At the feet of our heroes, we try hard to learn. But the lesson is lost there, in the midst of battle and blood. It is in the shadow of our heroes, that the lesson is learnt. And even then, it is not the lesson we wanted.

It is not an instruction on how to be strong, good, righteous or brave. Nor is it an instruction on how to lead others into a battle that cannot be won, and still protect them.

It is a lesson in blood. A test of our resilience. An instruction, on how to be dead.
