WORLDHEART: PROLUGE
Long ago, far before The Blighting, the doors between the worlds were thrown open. They then were closed by a group of strong and valiant warriors led by the Key of Destiny. These fighters stemmed the tide of darkness from spreading time and time again, world after world. One place that lay forgotten, though, was the Pit of Despair, ruled by the Lord of Darkness. When the doorway closed he used his malevolent power to wedge the gate open, though ever so slightly.
As the Pit Lord sustained the small opening with all of his might, the Key went on to persist in fulfilling his destiny until, finally, the worlds were all cleansed of evil. After the purging, the sacred weapon of the Key disappeared and the worlds returned to normal.
Soon the various worlds were lulled into a sense of peace and complacence. The Pit Lord, who had been slowly building strength, took his force wedge and blew it up, throwing the entrance to the Pit wide open. He called upon his hordes of daemons, and sent them out into the worlds. The heartless of old were reborn from the spreading darkness and the daemons, merged with them to create beings of destruction and domination.
The Key's destiny was reawakened as his sacred weapon, the Keyblade, returned to him, but by the time it appeared his friends and family were gone. The daemons twisted him and his weapon; he became the Key of Despair, a tool in the hands of the Lord of Darkness. After the Key had turned and become the first herald to the Pit Lord, the Infernal Master started to wage war against the one called king.
After years of noble struggle, the king went mad and slaughtered what was left of his court as a sacrifice the Pit Lord, and then joined the Dark One as the fourth and final Herald to Despair. During the war, two other heralds, he who is the child of Jenova, and she who wed the Beast, joined the Key of Despair. After the heralds had all joined, the Pit Lord commenced with his reign and ruled from his charred bone throne. During the Great War, many heartless and nobodies were made, they no longer served as soldiers for the Pit, but as upholders of the wicked law. The worlds stood as such for a long time, so long, in fact, that many forgot the serenity of the olden days. Eventually though, a samurai nobody with great spirit who was possessed by a daemon, drove the being out with his own will and supremacy. This served to do three things: first, it made him so dominant that he gained his own form, and became a power unto himself. Next, it wiped away all of his memories, and finally, it gave him the ability to feel.
At first the raw emotions that the newly born Loducx felt were so intense that he could do nothing. Then he broke away from the fear, pain and grief over the Worlds War and decided to do something about it. He vaguely remembered a group of nobodies who called themselves Organization thirteen. He also remembered that they were dead, so calling himself member twenty-six, he looked for other daemon possessed nobodies and helped them to break free. All of them became like him, memory-less, commanding, and able to feel emotion. Soon all of the members twenty-five to fourteen were in the Organization, all with unique abilities and weapons. They devoted their lives to destroying the Pit Lord, basing their operation in the former castle of She with the Glass Slipper. There they fought and this is their story.
