Author's Note: I was going to keep this a one shot story, but I am getting some ideas on where I can take this story. I shouldn't even be doing this story since I still have Sins of the Past to finish, but I just couldn't wait for this one.Here is the story and hope everyone enjoys it.
Chapter One
She could believe this was actually happening--scratch that she thought to herself. She never thought this was possible. She never thought she would have what she wanted the most. A child she thought as a bright smile lit up her face. As soon as her smiled appeared it was gone. Despite Courtney's happiness on being pregnant her life wasn't as perfect as she thought it would be.
Her and Jax's marriage was already going downhill and they haven't even been married a year. She thought she finally found a man she could spend the rest of her life with. How could she have been so wrong? Jax just wasn't the same man that she thought he was or knew for that matter. She knew she had to tell him, but she didn't know how. If they had never agreed on the surrogacy she wonders how their life would be. She also had to tell Nikolas who was having marriage problems of his own, but seem to try to make it work. Should she tell him? Courtney wondered to herself. Of course she should she told herself. He was the father of her child. He had the right to know.
"Courtney." She heard someone call her name not letting her dwell on her thoughts any longer. "Courtney." She heard again as she blinked her eyes a couple times before focusing on Nikolas's face.
"Nikolas." She said a little startled trying to figure out why he was here.
"Are you okay?" Nikolas asked worried hoping nothing was wrong with her.
"Yeah, I'm fine." She said as he sat down beside her. They sat there for a few minutes talking enjoying each other's company when Courtney decided it was time to break the ice. "Nikolas." She said he turned to look at her. "I have to tell you something." She said a little hesitantly here eyes dropping to the ground for a second.
"What's wrong?" He asked concerned wondering why Courtney was acting strange. "Is it Jax?" He asked immediately firing questions at her not giving her a chance to answer. "Did he do something to you?" Nikolas asked her.
"What?" Courtney asked shocked. To think Nikolas actually thought Jax would hurt her. "No." She said.
"Then what is it?" He asked her trying to figure out what Courtney wanted to say. All of a sudden he heard two words that would change his life forever.
"I'm pregnant." Courtney simply told him.
How is it? Do I need to work on it a little bit more? Should I continue?
