Chapter 1: A New Member
Lucy's heart raced as she stood in front of Fiore University, feeling nervous and anxious because it was her first day actually on the campus and not just fantasizing from pamphlets. She tried to put those feelings aside as she walked through the campus looking for a directory, small rolling suitcase in tow.
Out of nowhere a huge crowd of girls, but they didn't really look like students, formed around one guy. Curious, Lucy tried to push her way through to see what was going on. In the center was a guy claiming to be Salamander, the semi-famous student who was known for his good deeds around the community, and boy where these girls crazy about him. Lucy was beginning to think that maybe she was falling for him too before some pink haired guy pushed through the crowd and started yelling at him.
"Hey, you're not Salamander! And ughh you reek, is that some type of artificial Axillary steroid?"
"Uh-oh"
And before you could blink a chase broke out and the girls dispersed.
Axillary steroid? Wait, those are illegal! Lucy thought as she chased after the two men.
The chase ended in front of the police department as the fake Salamander received a very brief beat down from the pink haired student and was subsequently arrested. Lucy gave her statement to the police and that was that.
"Hey, thanks for taking care of him, who knows what could have happened if he had gotten away with that." Lucy said to the pink haired guy
"No sweat, I'm Natsu"
"I'm Lucy-" She was interrupted from her introduction by Natsu's stomach rumbling
"Why don't we go get something to eat? My treat since you did just save me from that creepy guy"
"Oh my god you're so nice!"
They went to a restaurant on campus and while Natsu stuffed his face Lucy gushed about why she chose to go to school at Fiore University, to join Fairy Tail, a famous co-ed fraternity that was always churning out impressive professionals that gave back to the community.
"But I have no idea how to join, if there's an application process or anything, I'm sure it's pretty tough..." Lucy trailed off sadly as she paid the check
"Well if you want to join, let's just go." Natsu said excitedly
"What?"
"Let's go!" Natsu said taking her hand and leading her towards Fairy Tail's fraternity house
Once there Natsu introduced Lucy and she met a few active members along with the advising faculty member and alumnus Professor Makarov who basically called all the shots in the fraternity. After some brief conversation she got stamped with a temporary fraternity symbol on her hand and she became the first pledge of the semester.
Bonus:
"Wait, are those tattoos?!" Lucy asked, worried that maybe she would have to get a permanent tattoo later on
"Nah, they're henna, we get them done every month or so to symbolize our constant dedication to the fraternity. That's why the one you got is temporary, it'll only last for about a week and by that time we'll know if you're here to stay or just passing by. I'm Gray Fullbuster"
"Oh, nice to meet you I'm Lucy"
"She's my little so back off Gray." Natsu butted in
"Who said she wanted you as her big?"
"Wait, what's a big and a little?"
"Well, your big is the person who gets you into Fairy Tail and a little is a person that you bring to Fairy Tail. They're short for big sibling and little sibling since the fraternity is supposed to be a home away from home so we're all like family here."
"So that makes him my big?!" Lucy said a little worried
"Yeah, now we're partners for life" Natsu said with a beaming smile
