Chapter 1: The Convention

(A/N) This story is based off a weird dream I had. I OWN NOTHING!

Sonic was running through Station Square when he saw a giant billboard about an upcoming runner's convention. " Only the fastest will prevail." He read. "I gotta find Shadow!" with that he zipped off to find his rival.

-With Shadow.-

Shadow and Amy were walking through around downtown Station Square holding hands when all of a sudden sonic screeched to a stop in front of them.

"You...me... run. Convention..." Sonic got out between breaths. Shadow and Amy looked at him. "huh?" they said in unison. Sonic gather his thoughts. "I was running around and I saw an ad for the upcoming runner's convention and I think you and I should go to show them how it's done."

Shadow thought for a moment. "hmmm. Sounds interesting. Fine We'll go but I get to the ass kicking."

Sonic looked shocked. Shadow just agreed to do something with him! He looked down. "when did you two become a couple?" he asked. "about two weeks ago." Amy answered.

Sonic fainted.

-one week later-

Sonic was outside the convention waiting for Shadow and Amy drove up on Shadow's motorcycle. "sorry we're late Shadow almost lost his shoes." Amy explained "Sorry. I wasn't the one who moved them." Shadow said.

"What ever come on we have one hour before the marathon starts. Let's look around" Sonic turned around and marched in as Amy and Shadow looked at each other, shrugged and walked in holding hands.

They walked up to a board that had a map of the convention. "let's see we have to be here for our race." Shadow said pointing at the map. "I FOUND THE FOOD COURT!" Sonic yelled pointing past the map. Shadow and Amy rolled their eyes. "How 'bout we look at the exhibit upstairs then get something to eat AFTER your race?" Amy suggested. Sonic shrugged his shoulders then followed Amy and Shadow upstairs.

After about a half hour they came across a strange stone in the middle of the exhibit that said "HE WHO RUNS THE FASTEST, DIES FIRST." Sonic and Shadow looked at each other then back at the stone. "We're fucked" they said simultaneously. "Actually just I am fucked." Shadow stated. "Why is that?" Sonic asked. "come on we both know I am faster" "Shadow, don't say that!" Amy pleaded. " I don't want to lose you!" she started to cry into his shoulder. Shadow's face saddened. "Don't cry Ames. It'll be alright." 'I hope' ALL RUNNERS PARTICIPATING IN THE MARATHON PEASE REPORT TO THE START LINE. "Shad, we gotta go." Sonic whispered. Then he walked off. "Amy go find a seat I'll see you after the race. Amy nodded then walked off.

Shadow looked back at the stone and though about it for a moment. "OH SHIT! SONIC WAIT!"
