Sorry this is so short. I just wanted to write something cute that wouldnt be like ages long. Hope you enjoy!
James and Lily belong to JK Rowling.
A very pregnant Lily Potter twirled around the small living room. Her multi-colored skirts floated out around her in turqoise waves. Her bare feet danced on the hardwood floor. Life was good.
"Someones happy." Commented a voice from the doorway. She stopped twirling just long enough to see her husband grinning at her, a box in his arms.
"Put that box down and come dance with me!" She said, slightly out of breath. James chuckled, but put the box down at his feet. Stepping over it he took his wand out and pointed it at the old radio in the corner. It was currently the only piece of furniture that the couple had found a space for. The radio immidiatly burst to life. An old fifties tune poured out of the speakers filling the whole house with music. James walked over to his wife and gripped her waist with one hand and her dangling fingers with the other. They began to jitterbug around the boxes and crates.
Soon enough, the two were out of breath. Lily placed a hand over her stomach.
"Is he kicking?" James asked, concerned.
"Yes, I dont think Harry likes dancing too much." Lily gigled. "Poor little guy is tired of all this moving."
"Perhaps you should go lay down." James suggested. He bent and kissed his wife on the head.
"On what, exactly?" she laughed. "You havent set up our bed yet." James grinned at her and pulled his wand out from his back pocket.
Pulling Lily by the hand, he made his way out of the living room and up the stairs. He stopped every few seconds too see if Lily was out of breath. She simply patted her stomach with her free and and smiled up at him. Once they were into their bedroom James waved his wand over the pile of bed pieces and matress laying across the floor. It quckly assembled itself and the sheets, pillows and duvet came flying into the room from a box resting in the hallway. The bed quickly made itself and even fluffed the pillows.
"Truly, your father is one talented man, Harry." Lily laughed to her belly. James spun around and pouted dramatically at her sarcasm. Lily smiled and patted his cheek. She crawled on to the bed and settled herself under the covers. She figured James would go downstairs and finish unpacking. To her surprise, he crawled into the bed beside her but stayed above the covers.
"The furniture can wait." he said, running his fingers through her hair amd closing his eyes.
This was peace, thought Lily. They had just moved into an amazing neighborhood, she was going to give birth to a beautiful healthy baby boy, and the entire world looked incedibly bright. Nestling into James's side, she too closed her eyes for an afternoon nap.
Life was perfect.
