Annie went into her daughter's room. She watched her sleep. Mari seemed so peaceful when she slept. The girl was going through a lot right now. It felt like she was all alone. It wasn't fair. As a mother it killed her to see her daughter hurting. She had been in her daughter's shoes before. She knew how badly her daughter was hurting and as a mother there is no more hopeless a feeling then that… seeing your child hurting emotionally or any other way and not being able to fix it. Letting go is the hardest thing a parent had to do. She smoothed back Mari's hair with her hand and kissed the girl on her forehead who did not stir. She had been crying for 3 days straight even in her sleep at first. It felt like her child could never catch a break.

Lead her to a place
Guide her with your grace
To a place where she'll be saved
"Please," she whispered to the heavenly Father, "Save my daughter. I want so badly to see her smile again. I want so badly to see her happy again. You know what I am feeling. You understand how it is like for you have made us in your image. I know it says 'not my will but thine be done'. If Mari's suffering can come to any good for her please let it happen quickly and have this hurt abated. This is my child and the way it hurts you to see your child hurting it hurts me to see MY CHILD HURTING but unlike you I cannot walk about. I cannot stop caring.
I pray she'll find your light
And hold it in her heart
As darkness falls each night
Remind her where you are
There was a flash of blinding light and a loving thunderous voice replied, "WHO SAID THAT I HAD STOPED CARING. WHO SAID THAT I HAD TURNED AWAY? WHERE DID YOU GET THAT IDEA FROM Annie?"
"It says in the bible 'and He cried out OH FATHER WHY HAVE YOU FORESAKEN ME"
"HE WAS SCARED. HE WAS HURTING. HE HAD HAD THE WORST DAY OF HIS LIFE. HE FELT ABANDONED. HE FELT FORESAKEN BUT THAT DIDN'T MEAN THAT HE WAS ABANDONED AND IT DIDN'T MEAN THAT HE WAS FORSAKEN. I HAVE NOT ABANDONED MY SON AND I HAVE NOT ABONDED MARI. RIGHT NOW SHE IS SUFFERING BUT IT WILL TURN TO GREATER GOOD FOR HER. RIGHT NOW SHE IS SUFFERING BUT IT WILL TURN TO GREATER GOOD FOR MANY. A WOMAN ONCE SAID THAT IT IS UNFAIR THAT SHE HAS TRIED SO HARD AND HAS BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL AT WHAT SHE SO LONGED FOR AND YET HER FRIEND DIDN'T EVEN NEED TO TRY. IT WASN'T UNTIL YEARS LATER THAT SHE UNDERSTOOD SHE WAS THE BLESSED ONE BECAUSE SHE DID GET WHAT SHE WANTED WHEN SHE COULD HANDLE IT. THAT WAS NOT THE TIME. MARI WILL GET THROUGH THIS."

"But what good can come from this anyway," Annie asked, "She went through a tragedy. She lost her child"
"SO DID I," the Heavenly Father said, "AND THAT TURNED OUT VERY GOOD"
"Okay," Annie said, "Point for you but that was different. Your son is still alive"
"SO IS YOUR GRAND-DAUGHTER"
"We buried her," Annie said
"AND SHE'S ALIVE RIGHT HERE IN HEAVEN SITTING ON MY LAP," He said
