It was a quiet morning inside a old stone Castle and most of the beings were starting to wake up.
Violet a light purple creature that could only be described as a child sized blob was first up as normal.
She yawned and jumped off the stone that was her bed and walked over to her parents room.
She smiled and was about to do her good morning routine when she was interrupted by a baby's cry.
The three year old sighed.
"Stupid Kane" she said and went back to her room.
After a few minutes later someone knocked on her door.
"Violet wake up sleepy head, it's breakfast time" her dad called.
"Not hungry" Violet said.
Her door opened and her dad Berk a adult sized blob came over.
"Come on Violet, you need to eat" he said.
"Uh uh" Violet said crossing her arms.
Berk smiled.
"You can't stay jealous of Kane forever" he said.
"Can" Violet said.
Berk smiled and picked Violet up.
Violet laughed.
"Put me down daddy" she giggled.
"No you're coming with me" Berk said trying to sound tough.
Violet laughed.
Berk smiled and took Violet into the centre of the Castle.
Violet stopped smiling seeing her seven month old baby brother Kane who was light green and had to wear glasses due to his bad vision.
Kane yawned curled up in his mums arms.
Kane was small for his age as he was born two months early.
"Morning mummy" Violet said.
Starlight a scarlet version of Violet smiled.
"Good morning Violet" she said.
Kane however started crying when he saw Violet.
"He hates me" Violet said.
"Kane's just a baby Violet and all baby's cry" Berk said.
"When you were a baby you used to cry every time your dad or I weren't in the same room as you" Starlight said trying to stop Kane crying.
Violet sighed and ate her food.
She sighed bored.
"Can I go play with Xavid and Daisy later?" Violet asked.
"Actually Violet we thought you and Kane could spend some time together today" Berk said.
Violet looked as if she was about to have a tantrum, but stopped herself.
"Your getting good at stopping your tantrums" Starlight said.
Violet sighed, even though she was only three she often acted like she was older.
"Come on Violet, it won't be that bad" Berk said.
Violet looked at Kane.
"Vi Vi" Kane said.
Violet smiled slightly.
After her breakfast Starlight took Violet and Kane into a old room used as a nusery.
Kane smiled and tried to pick up an old book.
"Sorry Kane, no story today" Starlight said knowing neither her nor Violet could read.
Violet went over to some building blocks.
Kane crawled over to Violet and started to build a tower.
When he couldn't reach the top, he looked at Violet.
"Vi Vi" he said holding the block up.
Violet smiled and picked the block up and put it on the small tower.
Kane smiled and clapped his hands.
After a while Violet couldn't reach the top of the tower.
"Sorry Kane" she said.
Kane smiled.
"Violet" he said.
Violet smiled.
"I'm your first word" she smiled.
Starlight smiled warmly.
Kane went over to Violet and hugged her.
Violet smiled and hugged back.
Maybe having a brother wasn't so bad after all.
