I know the idea has been used… but this will be different. Rated M for violence and cussing. Yea cussing!
Darth Sidious was finally getting used to his new apprentice. Who would have thought that a little boy from Tatooine would have that many Midi-chlorian? He would make a fine Sith Lord. Sidious caved and let the boy live with his mother in his secret base on Coruscant. She would make perfect ammunition for making him do whatever he wanted. The boy's name was Anakin Skywalker. But that would soon change.
"Boy. Come here." Sidious called from the Kitchen doorway.
Five year old Anakin looked up from the floor he was scrubbing and quickly got up. He brushed off his tunic as best as he could, though it wouldn't matter. The oil and grease stains had long set in. He ran over to his new master and kneeled. "Yes, Master Sidious?"
"You shall be given a new name under your apprenticeship. Understand?"
"Yes, Master."
"Arise, Lord Vader."
Vader rose to his feet and stood in front of his master. "Master? May I ask a question?"
"Very well."
"What am I to be your apprentice for?"
"My dear boy… you shall be a Sith lord."
"Are they like the Jedi?"
Sidious slapped the boy across the face. He cowered at his feet. "You will never mention the Jedi again. Understand me?"
"Y-y-yess Master." The boy sniffled out.
"Stop sniffling and get back to work." And with that, Sidious walked into the other room.

Shmi Skywalker rushed into the Kitchen to comfort her son. She had heard the conversation and didn't like it one bit. "Honey. Are you okay? Look at me."
Vader looked up at her. His nose was bleeding and his face was pale. "I'm okay."
Shmi cuddled him close. "Don't lie to me, Ani."
"My name isn't Ani anymore."
"What are you talking about? I named you Anakin. Why wouldn't Ani be your name anymore?"
"Master Sidious said my name was Vader."
"To me, you will always be Ani. Okay?" Shmi gave him a reassuring smile. "I'll get you out of here. Even if it means getting killed in the process."
"Don't say stuff like that. Please Mommy?"
"But I mean it Ani. If it is the last thing I do, you will get out of here."

"Come on, my young apprentice. You're barely trying." Qui-Gon teased.
"Do or do not. There is no try." Obi-Wan quoted Yoda as he blocked another lightsaber blow from hitting his shoulder.
"Well, you're barely doing either. So…"
Obi-Wan stopped trying to defend himself against his Master's attacks and started attacking him. "Is this doing enough for you?"
"Better," Qui-Gon said as he tapped his Apprentice on the shoulder. "But you're using your anger to fuel your attacks. You were so consumed in your anger, that you didn't see me approaching with a different angle than the last time. Let that be a lesson to you Padawan." The Jedi Master retracted his lightsaber and so did Obi-Wan. Qui-Gon gave him a pat on the shoulder and they walked out of the training room.
"Where are we going Master? I thought we were practicing our saber techniques all day."
"The Council has assigned us a mission. A local slave family on Tatooine has disappeared. The owner wants us to track them down."
"But Master, I thought Tatooine wasn't a part of the Republic?"
"The Hutts have established a temporary treaty with the Republic. We are allowed to help them."
"Wouldn't that mean that the Republic's Anti-Slavery laws would take affect there as well?"
"It's a treaty, Obi-Wan. Not a contract of commitment."
The pair walked into the Council room and bowed.
"Dispatched on this mission immediately you should be." Grand Master Yoda addressed them.
"The slave owner is getting anxious that someone has stolen his slaves. The sooner we return them, the better." Mace Windu explained.
"More to this mission, there is then what I can feel." Yaddle mumbled.
"I sense a danger that I haven't felt in a long time." Plo Koon stated.
"Go to Tatooine, immediately you will. And unravel the mystery, with your presence." Yoda dismissed them.

"Tatooine approaching in one Parsec." A computer voice stated.
"What are we going to do once we reach Tatooine? It's not like we can go around with HoloFlyers that state, 'Have you seen this family'."
"It is true that it will be difficult, Obi-Wan. But search deeper. This family didn't just disappear as the owner says. There has to be more behind it. I've done some research on the family. Their names are Shmi Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker. A mother and son."
"Well, there's a motive of running away." Obi-Wan pointed out. "She wanted a better life for her son. Any other family, like a dad or sister? They might be living with them."
"No. There are no other family relations. They had nowhere else to go."
"Do you think they're living in the desert?"
"They'd die after one day. You can't survive on Tatooine without water. And water is a very rare thing to find in the desert."
"Entering Tatooine's atmosphere. Setting course for Mos Espa." The computer's monotone voice recited.
"Get ready for landing, Obi-Wan. And pack lightly. You don't want to be lugging around anything if you don't have to."
"Yes, Master." Obi-Wan departed and packed for the journey ahead.
