I do not own Style Savvy. Style Savvy belongs to Nintendo, but the story and the mother character both belong to me.

NOTE: Libby is six years old in this story.

Today she gets to go see Mother.

Papa takes her there in his own car, a rusty old red car, a slow car that has engine problems, a car nothing like his boss's car, a sleek black car with comfy red seats. But his car is warm and cozy and smells like Papa.

The people are quiet and whisper to Papa when he comes inside, but she doesn't care because Mother is here and soon she'll see her. She'll show Mother her pictures of fruit. Mother loves fruit, especially strawberries. She wonders why.

Soon they are walking down a long hallway, a painfully long hallway to Mother, and she only has Papa to keep her from running.

Inside the room, there are many people and one of the people who work here is quietly telling them how to make cupcakes. She likes cupcakes. Especially chocolate ones.

She follows Papa down the rows to Mother. Mother has changed. She's droopy and gray and sad and doesn't smell like Mother.

She whispers to Papa. "Is that Mother?"

He ignores her. She is not used to being ignored.

"Aubrey," he whispers, "I'm here."

The gray woman looks up from her cupcakes, and she says, "Daddy."

"Yes, Aubrey. Daddy's here. And look! Libby's here, too, and she has her pictures to show you."

The gray woman looks at her. "Berry."

Slowly, Libby lets go of Papa's hand and walks towards Mother. Her eyes feel funny.

"Mother?"

The woman smiles widely. "Grapes!" She takes Libby in her arms and Libby is happy. She smiles into Mother's shirt.

"Mommy."

"Muffin."

And Libby can't stop smiling and her eyes are wet but it doesn't matter because Mommy, Mother, Ma, she's here and she'll kiss and hug the tears and nightmares away and Libby is happy.

So what do you think? Love it? Hate it? Let me know, because this is my first story and I need feedback.
