Chapter 1 – The meeting
Harry and his friends, Ron Weasley & Hermione Granger, boarded the Hogwarts Express before waving to Ron's family.
'Thank you Mr & Mrs Weasley for everything this holiday', thanked Hermione before nudging Harry in the ribs.
'OW! Hermione! Um, er, yeah thanks for everything!'
'No problem Harry and Hermione, anytime!' answered Mrs Weasley, giving Ginny and Ron a kiss on the cheek just before the engines of the express started with a roar.
The golden trio left their post of the window and went in search of a spare compartment when a group of half a dozen girls went past with their long hair flowing behind them. As they passed the three the girl at the front of the group who had dark flowing hair and dark eyes, smiled and stopped in front of the trio while her friends continued going in search of a compartment.
'Hello, my name is Melanie Peterson', the girl said extending her hand.
Harry smiled in return and shook Melanie's hand.
'Hi, I'm Harry Potter and these are my friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.'
'Nice to meet you, are you new here?' asked Hermione
'Yes, I am, my friends and I were home schooled together.' She smiled once more and looked down the corridor, 'It looks they found a compartment, would you like to join us?'
The trio looked at each and nodded. Melanie led them to the compartment. While they walked many students poked their head out and watched the four head down the corridor.
