RAPR—Sunburn

"Ohhhh…." A moan of pain came from a tall Irken.

"Well, iwhose/i fault was it that you got a sunburn? Certainly not mine." Purple said as he placed a wet washrag on Red's forehead. No, it wasn't with the type of water that would hurt them from Earth. It was wetted down a little bit with milk, which was okay for Irken skin.

"Mine. Now, quit gloating endlessly about my pain. I have enough to deal with right now." Red replied, feeling quite annoyed.

"Well, now at least when anyone calls you "Red", ttalthough they really shouldn't because they're not allowed to call us anything but "my Tallest", you'll remember your mistake."

Red mumbled silent curses in reply as he lay on his side of the bed in pain.

"I don't blame myself for this. Sure, you went inside sooner, and I decided to take a nap outside, but whose fault was it that we forgot isun block/i?"

"Well, I'm not the only one who forgot, you know. I'm a little bit burned, too." He stopped to think about what might make his sunburned friend happier. "Need a milk-pack?" he asked. Having no access to pure, Irken water was a real pain. They had to use milk as an alternative, and it ALWAYS spoiled by the next day, so it had to be used generously.

"I'm not so sure I want ANYTHING from you right now." Red wanted to roll over on his side so that he could look away from his friend with amethyst eyes, but he was too badly burned.

"You sure?"

"Positive." Even making his face look angry hurt. The last time either of the Tallest had gotten a sunburn was when they were half the height they are now. They still hadn't learned though, and clearly, neither had Red.

"Ice cream? It might make you feel a ilittle/i better." Purple suggested.

"NO!" the Irken with ruby eyes yelled. He was too angry with his tall counterpart to want anything more from him.

"Hmm…." Purple tried to think of what might change Red's mind. He needed to give him something cool…. Something…. Soothing. He then ordered someone to bring him some ice cream. Red said nothing in reply to his actions. Purple took some ice cream and ate some, sitting beside Red as he did so. Clearly, his friend wasn't paying any attention, so with ice cold lips, he placed a gentle, soothing kiss on Red's cheek. Red carefully looked at Purple, trying not to hurt himself in the process. "Are you isure/i you don't want some ice cream?" the lilac-eyed Irken asked Red quietly. Red stayed silent for a moment, and then smiled a little.

"Sure. I'll have some."
