Author's Note: I have medical depression, and this a poem I wrote a long time ago during one such a spell. As I was looking through my poetry, I realised that this one sort of applied to Raven, so I thought I'd use it in this one-shot.

Disclaimer: I don't own Teen Titans, but I do own this poem, so take it and I'll sue the pants off you! And then wear them with the matching cashmere sweater and diamond necklace I bought with your money. Thou hast been warned. Eth.

Raven sat sullenly on the darkest corner of her bed, her knees clutched close to to her chest, using her legs as a flat surface for the little black journal in which she was writing.

Caught in a blizzard

I shiver from cold

I freeze all alone

Nobody to hold

She scribbled on the dry yellow page as the violet orbs of her eyes glistened and seemed to glow with an eery beauty in the darkness, threatening to give way to tears.

I feel the frostbite

From hail and snow

My body is ravaged

Although it won't show

She finally gave in to her weakness and feeling of absolute loneliness.

Because I'm not in the arctic

And I'm not all alone

I'm right beside you

In my own home

Her heart seemed to flow up her arms and through her fingers as she poured her soul onto the paper, her tears flowing freely.

But inside my soul

And inside my mind

A blizzard still rages

And I'm left behind

The black ink began to smudge and run from the assault of the salty water that fell softly from Raven's beautiful purple eyes onto the paper.

You might not see it

But it still burns

Not on the outside

Inside the storm churns

Her sobs ebbed quietly and seemed to echo off the walls of her enclosed room, every sullen sniffle rebounding back to her delicate ears. It would hang in the air for only half a moment, but to Raven it felt like a thousand eternities.

My skin shows no frostbite

My flesh shows no mark

I have no gashes

But inside it's dark

Every tear seemed to linger lightly on her pale cheekbone before it fell softly onto the book, making only the slightest sound. But to Raven, each fallen tear screamed her name, shrieked her sorrow, the cries of pain steadily escalating in volume.

I'll be okay

Without your hand to hold

My body's unscathed

Yet my heart freezes from cold

Raven set the book aside and gingerly placed the pen onto the deep black blanket of her bed, her tears ceasing almost instantly, as if there were no more to cry. And there she sat, staring at her blank wall, unwavering, never blinking. And even though no more tears ran down her beautiful pale face, her silent sobs could still be heard emanating from her sad, yet lovely lips.

Outside her door sat a handsome, young boy, his skin and shaggy, uncontrollable hair both a similar shade of green. Concern was written across his boy-ishly cute, yet weather features. And there he remained, un-flinching, as his heart began to tear in two merely from the aura of sadness surrounding his unknown love's chambers.
