Some people had normal problems. Some people had to deal with normal teenage problems, like who was dating who or what to wear or who-said-what. Jonathan didn't get those kinds of problems. Instead, he had to deal with his own personal demons. Literally, since he was being haunted by a ghost.

Jonathan's ghost was named Sock. Sock had a real name- Napoleon Maxwell- but Sock felt that was too much of a mouthful. Besides, 'Sock' fitted the little troublemaker. It just worked for him, so Jonathan guessed it was okay.

Jonathan's ghost had an odd sense of style. He wore the strangest clothes. A sweater vest over a t-shirt, a bright red scarf, old brown hiking boots, a purple skirt over ripped jeans, and always topped off with an awkwardly shaped hat, which gave him terrible hat-hair. But that's what Sock liked to wear, so Jonathan guessed it was okay.

Jonathan's ghost had a job, which is why he haunted the teen. He worked nine-to-five week days and got weekends off. Jonathan didn't know where Sock went when he was off work, except for the few times he spent the weekend with him. But that was Sock's business, so Jonathan guessed it was okay.

Jonathan's ghost was short, even when he was floating. He was only about 5'2", which was very short compared to Jonathan's 5"8'. Sometimes Sock would float higher than Jonathan's head, just to feel taller. Sock was even the same age as Jonathan, even though he looked about twelve. But Sock didn't seem to mind too much, so Jonathan guessed it was okay.

Jonathan's ghost was slightly homicidal, a killer. He's ended the lives of many squirrels and mice. He even killed his parents. But he killed them in his sleep, so Jonathan guessed it was okay.

Jonathan's ghost wasn't really a ghost, he was a demon. Sock really didn't like being called a ghost, so Jonathan kept doing it. But Sock annoyed him all the time, so Jonathan told him it was fucking payback whether he liked it or not.

Jonathan's ghost was weird, even without all these traits. He would sing and dance to old show tunes all day if he could. He would climb the empire state building and never climb down if they lived anywhere near New York city. He wouldn't care what anyone thought of him if they could see him. But Sock was his friend, so Jonathan guessed it was okay.

I find it funny how I ship Mephi and Sock but only write Sockathan
