I had a toy -

A broken toy

I valued more than Heaven's stars

And how that toy scarred me so!

I played too hard?

I played too rough?

My silly doll gives acidic kisses

To quench the hate that she must hold.

I desired to own,

I longed to possess

But my little plaything possessed me

And I cannot chain her through my own fragility.

Pretty dolly, pretty mine…

Where is she now?

I do not know

Will she return?

I do not know

But even still, I love her so

And you will never escape the clutches of this parasitic heart,

That needs so desperately to capture you

Pretty dolly, pretty mine.
