"He's strong", he said softly, only to himself. "His abilities are far removed from any other", his voice was calm and sure. "Even if you were to generally utilize all your knowledge and be wary of all sorts of misfortunes that can happen, Captain Aizen's abilities lie far, far above such care."* He smiled, now looking at present and former Shinigami who were completely helpless in the situation.

The pleasure of standing on the rooftop and contemplating Aizen's confrontation with all the others was abruptly interrupted by a slim arm that pulled his robe and dragged him down. Had it not been for his extraordinary flexibility, he would at least bump his forehead.

"You never talk like this about me", Izuru's sulky voice rang with jealousy. "Have you finished your apotheosis?", he asked, wrapping his arms around Gin rather possessively. "Next time at least warn me, before you decide to pop out", he added with a reprimand. "Although... according to your own words, apparently we stand no chance before him and the end of the world is close", he claimed quite impassively. "Don't you think we should spend out last moments in a more pleasant way?"

Gin made himself comfortable in his arms.

"I don' believe in end of world", he said with satisfaction. Izuru sulked even more. Gin smiled with affection. "But I suppor' yer idea", he whispered, his warm breath tickled Izuru's temple. The vice-captain moaned and closed his eyes. Gin's lips mover lower. "Apotheosis of Izuru wouldn' be perfect, even if I though' on it whole day", he added in a softer voice, almost reaching Izuru's mouth, "and I never liked half-measures."

Izuru learned quite soon Gin was saying the truth.

Gin decided all the reality could wait for him.
