100 words on the nose.
I've kept every letter and card Sammy's given me, minus a few during his Stanford years. He doesn't know, they're hidden in the Impala's door panel. It's kinda pathetic, just something normal to hold onto. I glance at the backseat, smiling at the 'Busty Asian Beauties Vol. 32' lying there.
Years have stained those handwritten notes with grease and tears.
I watch Sammy tiredly, his free hand pressed firmly in my side, worried eyes glancing from me to the road as we break land speed records.
This year's birthday card, still clutched in my trembling hand, is stained in blood.
