Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who or Rose or Mickey or coffee or London or- I was actually wondering why we have to say this stuff. Clearly I don't own it, because it's not as if you can buy Rose Tyler on Amazon or anything. But, ah, well, I don't own anything.

This is the only story I wrote last night, because my sister went to bed immediately. She kept texting me that I'd better hurry or she was going to bed and stuff.

This is not a romance story! Seriously, I'm Rose/The Doctor, definitely not Rose/Mickey. I do love Mickey of course, but not with Rose or anything. I haven't seen him with Martha yet, but I might like them since they-okay, no spoilers.

Here it is!

Rose Tyler sipped her coffee, glancing about the almost too-immaculate coffee shop. It wasn't like the pleasantly homey coffee shops in normal London. Parallel London was quite different.

"Enjoying your mocha?" the coffee shop lady asked, coming up to Rose. She seemed normal enough, though she was smiling too big to look real.

"Oh, yes," Rose said, managing a small smile. "It's excellent."

"Wonderful!" the woman was just too cheery. "There's somebody here to see you."

Rose looked up. "Oh, hello, Mickey. I know I didn't say hello to you this morning, I just came straight to coffee."

Mickey grinned sheepishly. "Of course, that's what you always do. I just came to see you. You-know."

Rose raised her eyebrows. "I'm fine, Mickey. I'll get on without The Doctor. I will. And I know I'll see him again. Even with the rift."

Mickey shrugged. "Of course, but I just thought maybe you'd like somebody to have coffee with."

Rose nodded. "That would be great, Mickey. Thanks."

Mickey just shrugged again. "You're welcome? You been out really since you talked to The Doctor? Apart from coffee I mean."

Rose looked at the table. "Oh, well, no. But I've been at home really. Dad has a big house and it's been interesting watching him with Mum."

There was an awkward silence. Mickey looked at the table, too. They were quiet for a minute, but when Mickey looked up, there were tears streaming down Rose's face. "Mickey, do you think The Doctor will ever be here again?"

He shrugged. "Oh, I reckon. He's a pretty cool guy really."

Rose's eyes widened. "He always called you Ricky and he insulted you a lot!"

Mickey grinned sheepishly again. "Yeah, but when you look a little past that and sort of-well-"

Though Rose's eyes were still shining with tears, she burst out laughing. For the first time in weeks, she shook with laughter.

Did you like it? I hope so! I'm doing that again, yep. Couldn't even take a day off from it. I just don't know any other way to end! Please review and all that! That's just sort of how you do it, isn't it? I don't know.

Tomorrow will be my three week anniversary of story writing! Monday was my three week anniversary of joining! Today isn't anything, but not every day is something, is it? Well, actually, every day is somebody's birthday! Right now, even if it's eight years from when I'm writing this, somebody is having a party! Well, that might not be true if parties are banned then or something, but I'm guessing it will be true.

Linley :)
