The night was dark and the winds were harsh. Trees took form as beastly monsters and lightning flashed upon the sky. This was everyone's favourite time as year for it was the time that the Haunted House at the Shrieking Shack was open.
The House had been an attraction for many decades and very well known for all it's spooks and frights.
This was the night though that James and Sirius were going to prove Lucius wrong. The two had made a bet with him beforehand, mentioning how they would last longer than he would within the Haunted House.
Alas, here they were, entering the dark and creepy house. The door slammed behind them and the floor creaked with every step they took. Creek. Creek. Creek. Not once did the floorboards fail to echo amongst the narrow halls of the haunted house.
Despite the opstacles, James and Sirius were determined to meet the end of the Haunted House. And alas, they made through even if there had been a few jump scares.
