A/N (Update): Hey guys! For those of you who have read this before, I'm just fixing it up so it's more coherent.

A/N: Hey guys! So, I found a tiny bit of freetime from studying for my Term Exams. Not much, but enough to write this. I thought of making a multi-fandom series of Quotes and Drabbles. That's what it's called, if you haven't figured it out yet. So, this is the PJO/HoO part. This fanfiction will be updated indefinitely. I will update when something comes to mind. And for this chapter, I have two quotes to use. So, on to the fic.

Disclaimer: Yeah, I don't think RR is a teenage girl. The quotes don't belong to me either.

Quote: "Fairytales don't exist" ~I'm not sure.

Once upon a time, somewhere, in another life, Annabeth Chase had a caring mother and father. They took the seven-year-old to the park every day. There, she met her two friends, Thalia Grace- with her kind mother and sweet little brother- and Luke Castellan- who always had a peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwich for lunch. They had fun, despite Annabeth being much younger than they were. Over time, young Annabeth found herself falling in love with Luke, and so did Thalia. They had become distant for a while, but became friends again when Thalia decided that she didn't want a relationship. Luke fell for her, too, despite being 7 years older. And they all lived happily ever after in a world safe from the monsters of Greek and Roman "Mythology". The end.

Annabeth sighed as she recalled the story her 9-year-old self had created. The story of how she wanted her life to be, instead of what it was. How different her life had turned out to be.

Instead of going to the park everyday she was assaulted by spiders and her dad didn't even care. Instead of meeting Thalia and Luke the way a seven-year-old should, she met them outside the trash bin she called home for a day. Instead of staying best friends with Thalia, she "died". Instead of having a happily ever after with Luke, she ended up breaking into a million tiny pieces.

She knew that fairytales didn't exist.

But it didn't matter. She knew that if she lived in that fairytale world, the world would not have been saved, Thalia wouldn't have found a family in the Hunters of Artemis, she wouldn't have been able to go to Camp Half Blood, and most importantly, she wouldn't have met Percy.

Fairytale Annabeth was afraid to take the risks that Annabeth would take on a daily basis. That would have been nice, if she was ignorant and a fearful mortal. Fairytale Annabeth was a coward. But, Annabeth was not. So, when her Seaweed Brain comes along, she decides that, she didn't want to be fairytale Annabeth.

She knew that fairytales didn't exist. She knew "mythology" did. But she wouldn't have it any other way.
