"I can't believe you pulled this off," Lorelai said, completely impressed with her friend.

"No, it wasn't me. I just did all the baking. This was all Luke." Sookie told her.

"What?" Lorelai couldn't believe that her ex-fiancé would do all that for Rory. On second thought, yes she could. It's what makes Luke, Luke.

"Yea, it was Luke that had the idea; Luke planned the secret town meeting. And when we got the news that it was going to rain, Luke collected everyone's tarps, and tents and raincoats. He must have stayed up all night."

"I'll be right back" Lorelai said as she went to find Luke.

As she started across the street, she saw him coming out of the diner. it was at that moment that she knew that the party wasn't just for Rory. She picked up her pace and met him in the middle of the street.

"Hey,"

"Hey"

"Thank you"

"Aw, it's no big deal"

"Luke…"

"I just…like to see you happy" He did, didn't he? Even after all this time, all she had done to hurt him, all he wanted was to see her happy. He still loved her.

She wasn't sure who made the first move, but before she knew it, her lips were on hers, she was kissing him like she had wanted to do for such a long time. They had kissed many times before, but this was different, this was like coming home.
