Slowly, Sorrowfully
He walked alone
Up the hill
To where his fate lay
Evil red flames
Flicker in the soft breeze
And cast an eerie glow
And long evil shadows
Harsh cries fill the night air
Screeches, squeals
In harsh uncouth tongues
With foul meanings
Mournful yet majestic
He met them there
His golden head downcast
Drooping towards the earth
They taunted him
Spat at him
Prodded and poked
Testing his patience
Yet he doesn't falter
He bears it all
With silence
And steel resolve
She stands there
Haughty and proud
Tall and terrible
Fair yet evil
Its sharp edges glisten
And glow red
Hard and cruel
Cold and relentless
His glory is removed
Yanked and torn
Snatched and hacked
Held up as a trophy
Bound with many cords
Tied tightly
They cut into his flesh
With pitiless cruelty
Dragged painfully
Knocked against stone stairs
Pain shoots through his body
And fire was scorching him inside out
Tied down more
Until he is a mass of cords
A shadow
Of what he once was
Her eyes glint
Heat courses through her limbs
Excitement runs through her
Extreme joy tingling
She raises her voice above the din
She addresses her followers
They cheer in reply
Loving what they hear
He stars up at the stars
Immeasurable points of light
And thinks of those
Who he loves
The ones he is dying for
Who betrayed and lied
He gives himself to suffering
So they may be spared
She stoops down to him
And whispers of her triumph
She chuckles
What will stop her now?
She grasps the knife
Delighting in its cruelty
Its sheer sides
Its sharp tip
She raises her arm
And with all her strength
Brings it down
Killing him with one swift stroke
Life drains away
Noise fades to silence
Light fades to dark
And he is gone
