Hi everyone, I recently became obsessed over the Thundermans, especially over the Chex pairing. So I decided to do my first Thundermans story as a one-shot. Hope you like it!
Phoebe came in to the Thunderman's residence that day with a disrupt Cherry. She was trying to sooth her friend as they made their way to the couch.
"You didn't mean for this to happen Cherry." said the girl as an attempt.
"Yeah, I already know that!" replied the blond softly.
Max came in the room and stopped as he saw the two girls. He didn't know what was wrong but he wanted to find out. So he discretely stood behind them.
"Look, if you had braked, the car behind us would have collided with us…you did the right thing." continued Phoebe stroking her friend's arm.
"Yes, I also know that!" replied Cherry still shaken.
"And it was far from any house, you couldn't have expected a cat to be in the middle of the highway…and you did try to bypass it." said Phoebe not really knowing what to say to comfort her friend.
"Phoebe…I know all of that, thanks." said Cherry not really needing a pep talk right now.
"Okay…wanna go up to my room?" asked the brown girl.
"Yeah, I'll meet you there, I have to use the washroom first." said Cherry still down about the event.
"Alright." replied Phoebe with a compassionate smile before heading upstairs.
Cherry stayed there for a few seconds lost in her thoughts before Max went around the couch and took a seat next to her.
"Hey…what happened?" he asked curiously.
"Oh hey Max…um, I accidentally ran on a cat on the way back from our trip...it suddenly crossed the highway and if I stopped, the car behind us would have hit us…so I tried to dodge it, I honked but it kind of went right for my wheels…." said a bummed Cherry with a shrug.
"Umm…" said Max taking the information in.
"Well sometimes these things happen." he said shrugging.
Cherry looked at him and slowly smiled. Phoebe kept telling her how she did everything she could, how it wasn't her fault…but she already knew all of that. All she needed was someone to remind her that it happens...as sad as it is, these stuff happens.
"Thanks Max…that's exactly what I needed to hear!" replied Cherry feeling better.
She quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek before getting up and going to the bathroom. Max blushed a bit and a little smile made its way to his lips.
Phoebe came downstairs to see what was taking so long for her friend but did a double check when she saw her brother.
"Max…are you smiling?" she said surprised "It's not a smirk, it's a genuine smile!"
Max smiled even more before replying.
"Well sometimes these things happen." He said before getting up and heading to his lair.
