Prologue
My sparkling tears created a pattern on the ancient cobblestone tiles. My once gleaming, azureous eyes now dark and gloomy, matching my depressive mood. The strong, independent woman I formerly was disappeared, leaving me broken and fragile, like a dusty old set of china. The clothes I wear, torn and bloodied. My hair, which was once a river of the most magnificent blue, now a matted mess. Despite all of that, my amethyst pendent still shines radiantly, as if it were mocking me!
Who am I? You may be wondering. I am Aquarius, 'The Water Bearer', 11th sign of the zodiac! You may be curious as to why I am so devastated, well let me tell you.
One of Master Uranus's servants came jogging up to me, a look of importance on his face. I watched as he cleared his throat and uttered "Excuse me, Ma'am, the Celestial King requests your presence at once. Also, I would not recommend keeping him waiting, he is in quite the temper" I replied "Thank you, ..." "Jonathan" he piped up. "Thank you, Jonathan" I said as I walked towards the castle.
As I descended up the old, crumbling stairs I looked at the various tapestries fixed to the wall. They truly were amazing, I could not imagine how much time and effort was put into making them. My favourite was of the celestial ball and featured me and all of my friends. As I came out of my daydream I realised I was at the Celestial King's door. I composed myself while looking at the interesting designs carved into the wood. Three. Two. One. I knocked loudly upon the door and heard a voice holler, "Come In!" I opened the door...
Before me, sitting upon his expansive throne, was the Celestial King himself. I walked forward and bowed low, staying in that position until I heard a booming voice say "Arise, Aquarius." I stood up and spoke, trying my best to remain impassive, "Your highness, what is it that you have called me for?" He looked at me with malice in his eyes and snickered, "Aquarius, 'The Water Bearer', you are hereby banned from this realm and stripped of your title! If you set foot in this realm again you will be exterminated." I gaped "You can't be serious, this is a joke, right" He snarled "A joke! I don't think so. I meant what I said." I could feel the tears running down my cheeks now and could only mutter one word "Wh-Why?" He hissed, "I don't like you. You're weak, pathetic and stupid. I do not need someone like you working for me!" I muttered, "B-But I have nowhere to go, I was b-born here, I belong here" He replied "You do not belong here. You will never belong here! I want you gone"
"N...no" I disagreed "I do belong here. This is my home, this is where my friends are. Also, you can't just get rid of me, I am Aquarius, 'The Water Bearer'. If I am gone, the realm will not be
balance. How will you remedy that?" "Yes. That would be a problem. Well it would be if we hadn't already found a replacement for you" he taunted. "W-well tough luck" I replied timidly "I...I'm not going anywhere".
He snapped! "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!" he yelled "GUARDS! TAKE HER TO THE HUMAN REALM. WAIT! GIVE HER A BEATING FIRST" he cackled. I was so confused and hurt I let myself be dragged away, looking at my old master, who was laughing hysterically like a maniac.
That is why I am on this cursed realm. That is my story.
