A tear trickled down the face of a young lady knight. The first tear was followed by another, and another, and another. A warm hand brushed against Kel's face, wiping away her tears, but not her sadness. Kel realized that she was crying, and she struggled to restrain her tears. 'It's no use', she decided. She surrendered to her grief, allowing her tears to fall, thick and fast onto her lap.
Kel felt that same warm hand upon her face, brushing away her tears, and was comforted. For once in her entire life, she allowed herself to drown in misery.
"She will be remembered among us all …" the voice droned on and on, as Kel's tears continued to fall.
'Why did you have to leave me?' Kel wondered. 'Why did you disappear? You are a part of me, the part that makes me a knight, a lady knight'
A warm hand clasped around Kel's. "You really admired her, didn't you?" whispered Dom. The pain was too much, Kel sobbed into Dom's shoulder.
'Come back Alanna' Kel silently pleaded.
