Set just after Becky finds out the tooth fairy isn't real...

"Why would you?" the 6 year old whimpered as her Mother stood frozen to the spot in shock.
Before Roxanne could stop her daughter, Becky had run from the room sobbing.
"What have I done?" the woman asked herself closing her eyes with a sigh.

Becky burst into the room all the kids shared and flung herself on the bed.
"You okay?" Charlotte asked concerned, placing her cards face down on the floor.
Becky sniffed in reply as the tears kept falling. Greg watched his little sister as she picked up the letter written for the tooth fairy only minutes earlier, and tore it in half.
"What are you doing?" he questioned getting to his feet so he could sit beside her.
"I don't need it anymore, the tooth fairy isn't coming" she whispered mournfully.
Keithie placed his cards on the floor too and moved to sit on Becky's other side.
"Why isn't she coming?" he asked gently as she rubbed her eyes.
"Because mama takes my teeth!" Becky cried fresh tears running down her cheeks.
The other kids exchanged looks before moving closer.
"No-one's ever ready for this talk" Andre warned, earning a nudge from his sister.

A few minutes later they had managed to stop Becky's tears, but she was still sniffing and breathing heavily.
"I was younger than you when I found out" Donna said "4 years old...I caught Dad in my room. Bean only found out last year"
Greg was rubbing his sisters back to calm her down, as the others told her how they found out about the tooth fairy.
"I knew it was Dad, he only owned up when I tricked him" Andre announced proudly
Charlotte laughed "Yeah, and then you cried like a little girl for weeks!"
Becky turned to her older brothers "How did you find out?"
"My first day of middle school, Mom told me" Keithie shrugged. Greg nodded in agreement.
"She probably didn't mean to tell you now, it just slipped out" Donna reasoned.
Becky sighed "But I wrote letters for my tooth fairy, does this mean Mama took them?"
Greg nodded giving her a sympathetic smile, as the door creaked open.

"Becky sweetie, can you come see Mommy with me, she's very upset and wants to talk to you" Lenny asked holding out his hand to the 6 year old.
She nodded hesitantly and followed her Dad from the room.
Roxanne was sat in the living room with Deanne and Sally.
"Baby I'm so sorry" she began when Becky appeared in the doorway.
The girl paused to think before smiling "It's okay Mommy, I'm a big girl now, I know the secret too!"
Deanne laughed as Becky clambered onto her Mother's lap for a hug.
"Greg and Keithie told me when they found out, so did the others"
Roxanne nodded "Do you still love Mommy?" she asked
Becky nodded frantically and squeezed her Mother tighter.
Lenny stepped forward "Alright time for bed sweetie" he said gently as Becky hopped off her Mother's lap.
"Night Mama" she called as Lenny gave her a hug goodnight.
"I love you sweetheart" Roxanne told her as she disappeared from the room.

"You and Mom cool now?" Keithie asked as Becky came skipping back into the bedroom.
"Yep, I'm a big girl now" she told him jumping on her bed.
Greg looked at his brother and raised an eyebrow. Silently and in unison they stood and ran over to the bed too.
Becky squealed as she was lifted into the air by her brother's weight on the mattress.
"If you're such a big girl could I do this?" Greg asked innocently, as he picked her up and held her above his head.
Keithie began tickling her, and the three collapsed to the floor laughing.

When Roxanne stuck her head round the door a few hours later, she smiled.
Becky was fast asleep on the floor between her brothers. Charlotte and Andre on one side and Donna with Bean on the other.
"I love you my babies" she murmured, quietly retreating to her own room...
