AN: This fic is an AU (Alternate Universe) that branches off around Episode 3: "Dead In the Water".
It was obvious that it was all Julia's fault, but as long as we're pointing fingers why not go a little deeper? Some could argue that it was Puck's own fault, that she had been the one who had gotten them in the whole mess. Others, of course, could counter that it was global warming- which, while it may seem unrelated, is actually the reason Julia made the deal in the first place- and if we all stopped dumping stuff into the ocean and smoking up the sky the whole disaster wouldn't be repeated by another person.
Opinion's aside, it was a rather dangerous situation, and an adventure that most involved didn't see themselves living past. After all, when a group of three people faces off a powerful demon hell-bent on stealing one of their souls (no pun intended) there usually isn't a way out.
However, to get to the bottom of it all, obviously need to go to the beginning. Not the beginning-beginning, of course, but just the beginning:
Twenty-two years after Julia made her big mistake.
