What led up to this? Oh yeah. pizza, movies, games and pillows. Edward and I were hanging out. Eating pizza, watching movies and playing games, like normal.
Edward and I have been friends for quite some time now. Six, years to be exact. We were lounging on my bedroom floor waiting for who was making us all some popcorn to eat while we watched all our favorite movies.
I GOT POPCORN!! Alice yelled waltzing into my room with a huge bowl of popcorn and a huge variety of soda. I have absolutely no idea how such small, pixie-like girl could carry such a large amount of stuff all at once.
What movie are we watching? She asked while plopping down between Edward and I.
Some movie called Twilight . Remember? It was your turn to pick. I said, smiling at her hyper-ness.
"OH! YEAH! The characters make me think of you and Edward! That's why I picked it!!! You are gonna LOVE IT!" She yelled, forcing me to cover my ears with a pillow.
The movie was actually surprisingly good. The only odd thing was that it was a love story about a girl an a boy, named Edward and Bella. I saw Edward gawking at the screen when he heard the other Edward say "Hi, I'm Edward Cullen, and you must be Bella." I started laughing hysterically. That was, like, the hugest coincident ever.
Around halfway through the movie, Alice abruptly stood up and said, I forgot my cell phone downstairs...and I need to make a call. She said.
OK... Edward and I said at the same time.
As soon as Alice disappeared down the stairs, I said Hey, Edward? No response. Edward? Nothing. YO, EDWARD! I threw some popcorn at his head this time.
WHAT?! He yelled.
Jeez, I was just asking if Alice got a cell phone! I yelled back.
Not that I know.. He said.
Whatever. I said.
During the movie, Edward and I sort of inched toward each other without even really noticing. When a really scary part came, I almost jumped on top of Edward and hid my face in his chest.
He didn't seem to mind, in fact, he even started stroking my hair, trying to comfort me. I finally got enough courage to sit back up. He slipped an arm around my waist and said, Just in case. I rolled my eyes. I didn t pull away because I kind of liked it.
I didn't get scared again, but he kept his arm around my waist. Nearing the end, I was wondering where Alice was and who she was talking to. When the other Edward and Bella kissed in the very last scene of the movie, I looked up at Edward. He was staring at me, and our eyes locked. He leaned forward the slightest bit, and I did the same. We kept up our little game, each inching forward the slightest bit, until I could feel his breath on my face. He smelled delicious.
I was the last to inch forward because Edward closed the distance between our lips. Before I had time to react, I was kissing him back.
