Blaine slowly makes his way back into consciousness, content with being wrapped up in the warm arms of his perfect boyfriend. They lay in bed with Kurt spooned behind Blaine and he feels Kurt's gentle breath tickle the hairs at the back of his neck. Blaine smiles softly and begins his journey back into the warm darkness as sleep over takes him once more.
A couple of hours later Kurt is woken by the bright sun streaming through the curtains into his eyes. He groans quietly, not to wake Blaine, and buries his face into the mass of wild curls before him. Kurt smiles to himself when he realises that they've stayed in the same position all night, clinging to each other like their lives depended on it.
Kurt places a gentle kiss to his neck and begins to leave the bed to start make breakfast for them both. He stands up, stretches and yawns the sleep away, he grabs a pair of Blaine's boxer briefs from the drawer and his old Dalton hoodie. Kurt likes to wear it on days like these, no responsibilities from work or school, just a lazy Sunday with his boyfriend. He puts the hoodie over his head and brings it close to his face. He inhales deeply smelling the familiar scent of coffee and cinnamon, all things Blaine.
Kurt makes his way into the kitchen and puts on the coffee maker. He rifles through the fridge thinking of what to make for him and Blaine and pulls out some fruit to chop up, deciding to have it with some pancakes. Quickly making up the batter, he pours reasonable amounts of it into the shape of hearts. He knows it's cheesy but anything to make his love smile. He's starting to put little blueberries into the cooking pancakes when a patter of footsteps are made down the hallway.
Not long after the footsteps stop, Kurt feels the familiar warm arms of Blaine encircling his waist from behind "Whatcha cooking, good looking?"
Kurt rolls his eyes at his boyfriend's corny line and pats his arms "Dork" He mutters playfully "I'm cooking blueberry pancakes for you"
"Ooooooh my favourite! You're the best babe" He punctuates with a firm kiss to his lips.
"I know" He returns playfully. Blaine turns around to start setting up a couple of plates and mugs when something catches Kurt's eye. Blaine is also only in his boxer briefs but is wearing what seems to be a simple grey t-shirt, but is actually Kurt's McKinley High shirt. Kurt's face lights up at Blaine having the same thoughts as he did this morning when putting on the others clothing.
Blaine notices Kurt's soft gaze and asks "What...?" He looks down at his shirt and smiles, he walks over to him a places a small kiss to his nose and carries on setting out the table.
Kurt turns back to his almost ready pancakes to hide the full blown out grin he has spread across his face. He takes the pancakes off the hot griddle and settles them onto a plate which is then placed on their small dining table, only big enough for the two of them.
They eat in a comfortable silence looking over the edges of their coffee cups with flirtatious glances. Their feet tangled together under the table. After breakfast they clean up quickly and make their way to the living room where they proceed to lie down together on the couch with Blaine now spooned behind Kurt.
"That was perfect, thank you" Blaine says with a loving kiss to Kurt's pale neck. Kurt turns his head for a proper kiss and is rewarded with the warm firm pressure of Blaine's lips on his. They trade soft kisses and shy smiles for a while before they put on a movie which is long since forgotten as they drift off into sleep once again, hands linked, feet tangled and little smiles playing at both of their lips.
It really was perfect.
Fin.
