A/N: In this scenario, the events up to ep. 21 on the After Story really took place. The world was never reset. However miracles can happen, and history can repeat itself. Just ask Akio and Tomoya...

Ushio looked out over the seemingly limitless meadow. It had snowed here once, long ago. But now, it is a sea of flowers. In the glare of the sunlight she could see a grove of trees off in the distance that felt like they radiated warmth. She didn't know quite why, but the thought made her smile. She could also make out a building between the trees like a sleeping giant amongst the green pixies. Mechanical sounds could be heard from that direction, but they added to the warmth, not detracted from it.

A lifetime of memories flashed before her eyes in mere seconds as she stood holding her handmade bouquet of flowers. He was always there for her when she needed him. When she needed a shoulder to cry upon in times of sadness. When she needed an embrace to comfort her through her weak times. When she needed someone to be happy with as the doctors proclaimed their shock at her miraculous recovery during her last time of weakness. Daddy had always been there for his little girl.

Ushio looked behind her at the figure who walked with her this one last time through the limitless meadow. His formal attire matched the many people standing behind him, however his obvious nervousness gave him a strangely robotic countenance. Upon seeing her gaze, Tomoya flashed her the brightest smile she had ever seen on his face. She didn't know it, but her mother was the last person to see such a joyful feature upon his face. Sitting next to her daddy and holding his hand was her step-mother Kyou, who was also exhibiting a rather large smile. She smiled back at them both as she turned to look at the figure standing next to her.

"I do." The words quickly left her lips, and were soon repeated by the man holding her hand. A great cheer emanated from the crowd as Ushio kissed her new husband for the first time. She looked up at the dais framing the priest in time to see a peculiar perched quail with twin head-feathers take flight and disappear into the sky.
