The Strangest thing

Chapter 1:"I'm a cartoon!"
It was a cold,rainy day in los angeles(sp)Rain was splattering the streets and cold mist was engulfing the city.For Sapphire,it didn't matter.She liked the rain.It made her feel happy and feel like she was reborn.She made her way to her house.she went upstairs to her room and fell on her bed.She reached for her deck box and opened it.
A large amount of yu-gi-oh cards fell out,some in plastic,some in not.She shifted through her cards looking at them closely.Each card made her considerably sad.It brought back a memory that she wanted to erase,a memory that plauged her.
(Flashback)
"Ewww,you are so immature!"Sqeeked(sp)her good friend caroline,once sapphire had told them that she was into yu-gi-oh cards."I can't believe it!You're 14 years old and you play yu-gi-oh cards!"Her friends all gave her a disapproving look,and walked away,all except one."Hey Anna,you'll still be my friend right?"Anna had been Sapphire's best friend since 2nd grade."Umm,well."She looked very uncomfortable."Iguess they're right,you have to grow up."And with that she left her best friend to go with the others.Sapphire felt stung and ran to her house,where she cried non-stop.

Sapphire put her cards back in the deck box and just laid on her bed to think.'Why can't yu-gi-oh be real?'She thought.All around her room she had posters of yu-gi-oh characters,but her favourite was Mai.She adored Mai's independence,and the fact that she is the only girl duelist in the show.It reminds me of me.She thought.She was one of the very few girl duelists in her area,and was always independent.All these thoughts soon brought her into a blissful sleep.
Sapphire woke up unusially(sp)late this morning,since she was actually a morning person.She got up and walked over to the bathroom to brush her teeth,etc.When she looked herself in the mirror,she let out a piercing scream."I look like a cartoon!"She screamed."Wait a minute,I AM ONE!!!"
